Studying Rocks from the Depths of Space to Earth’s Wettest and Driest Zones!
——————————————————
Hello and welcome to my website!
I am a geologist with expertise in the geochemistry of rare earth elements (REE) and the study of meteorites. I employ a combination of mineralogical and geochemical measurements, including both elemental and isotopic analyses to investigate rock and soil samples.
As a permanent research scientist (chargé de recherche), I work for the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), and I am based in Géosciences Environnement Toulouse (GET).
If you are conducting any studies that involve geochemical analyses, I would be delighted to engage in discussions. I am open to exploring new collaborations and research opportunities.
Feel free to visit my website, and if you have any questions or inquiries, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Exploring the Extremes!

From the hot deserts of Lut, Sahara, and Atacama…

…To the cold deserts of the Antarctic plateau…

…And forests of tropical Africa!
I have broad interests in the geochemistry and petrology of both terrestrial and extraterrestrial environments.
My current research focuses on two main areas. First, I investigate chemical weathering processes, with a particular emphasis on the behavior of rare earth elements (REEs) during weathering. Second, I study the geochemical mechanisms responsible for the formation of REE ores in both low- and high-temperature environments. In addition, I specialise in early solar system studies through the analysis of meteorites, and I examine the terrestrial weathering of meteorites recovered from Antarctica and hot desert regions.

News!
- A grant from Institut Carnot!Very happy that my project on rare earth geochemistry in West African regolith has been funded by Institut Carnot ISIFoR. This support will help me further develop my research and strengthen collaborations with my partners. Très heureux que mon projetContinue reading “A grant from Institut Carnot!”
- Mission in Côte d’Ivoire and GhanaOff to Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana for a three-month mission, for strengthening ongoing collaborations, initiating new ones, meeting students, and carrying out geological sampling as part of my work at the IRD.
- new paper and fun time in AntarcticaI departed Toulouse late November towards Antarctica to participate in a fieldwork campaign financed by BELSPO and organised by S. Goderis and V. Debaille in the Belgica Mountains. Currently, I’m back to the PEA organising the samples and my returnContinue reading “new paper and fun time in Antarctica”
