Chemical and physical techniques used in mineralogy, petrology and meteoritics (e.g., optical and electron microscopy, mineral characterization using EMPA, XRD, and magnetic methods; sample preparation and analysis of whole rock elemental and isotopic compositions using ICP-MS, ICP-OES, MC-ICP-MS, TIMS; thin and thick section preparation for microscopic studies, geological mapping, etc.
